Come and join us for another year of golf and social activities at Rice Lake Golf and Country Club. We have a full, fun filler schedule of events for your enjoyment.
Ladies day events begin on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. We will have a Wine and Chees Party beginning at 6:00 p.m. Flighting, chip-ins, and flag events will be planned for each Tuesday. A list of the events of the year is on the calendar of events' page. Weekly golf chairmen will be Julie Helgeson and Kathy Gilbertson.
Tee Times for ladies on Tuesday will be from 9-11 a.m. and 3:30-6:00 p.m. May 6 through September 30, 2008. Only ladies may reserve tee times in advance. Dues will be $5.00 and should be paid to the golf chairmen before you are eligible for any prizes. The sign-up sheet and envelops for your dueswill be on the counter at the club as has been done for prior years. Anyone needing a golf partner should come out the club early or call the weekly golf chairmen. Sounds like a fun time is planned, so hope you will be able to jion us each week.
If you were born in 1958 or before, we would like to have you join the Over 50 Women's Mixer group who play each Monday morning. The senior format is a scramble which allows players to golf with different partners each week.
Bridge, Shanghai, 500, etc. will be played each Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. For bridge, you must be signed up by 6:45 p.m. to enable the chairmen to fill the tables. A volunteer is needed to set up tables and to notify the Graphic of the winners for the evening.
To encourage women golfers to establish a handicap, the Women's Board has decided to pay half the cost or $7.50 of the $15.00 fee for the handicap for anyone who has NOT PREVIOUSLY HAD A HANDICAP. Many tournament requires a handicap, and we need to utilize this program that is available to us. Also, we are giving a prize for the handicap winner at our tournament, so this is an added incentive.
